Introduction of a new mass format

A new handbook for the Icelandic Church is being prepared, and last year proposals for changes to the National Church's Mass format were sent to its congregations.

On Sunday, March 15th, we plan to modify and use some of the suggestions from the church's manual committee at the 11:00 AM mass.

Sr. Irma Sjöfn Óskarsdóttir will introduce the Mass format at 10 a.m. before the Mass that begins at 11 a.m.

Directly following the presentation at 10:30, there will also be an open hymn rehearsal at the church's Frobenius choir organ with choir director and organist Steinar Logi Helgason and members from the Hallgrímskirkja Choir.
